The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s second superyacht, Ilma, will be making its inaugural voyage in September later this year.
Ilma will be able to carry up to 456 guests, and it will comprise 228 suites that each have a private terrace. The superyacht, despite having incredibly spacious suites already, will feature a larger suite option than the brand’s first superyacht Evrima, with new cabins that span 1,000 square feet.
The yacht also has several amenities for its guests to enjoy. Similar to Evrima, Ilma has a magnificent open-air Marina deck that allows direct sea access for swimming and water sports, such as kayaking and paddle boarding. Just above the deck is an expansive Marina Terrace where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and light bites while looking out on breathtaking views.
There’s a wide pool deck equipped with tanning ledges and comfortable chaises. A few steps away, guests can find the Pool House, where they can dine and drink any time of the day. Then, a few decks down, there’s a grand Infinity Pool and two whirlpool spas.
Apart from that, Ilma features a Fitness Studio that offers guests health and wellness programs that integrate fitness and spa treatments with customisable nutrition and lectures. Guests can maintain a healthy lifestyle on each voyage on Ilma, especially with yoga classes on deck and gym training available on the yacht, too.
Of course, one of the most popular places to go on the yacht is The Living Room. With a stocked library and comfy yet stylish furnishings, guests can gather together or enjoy some alone time. During the day, pastries are served with fresh coffee, while in the evening, the space is transformed into a piano bar and cocktail lounge.
For the shopaholics, The Boutique offers quite a selection from exclusive sportswear and jewellery to leather goods and branded apparel. Not to mention, guests’ shopping experience will be further boosted in select ports as collaborations with local artisans who come on board the yacht will showcase custom-made offerings.
On the other hand, the foodies will surely enjoy dining across the five elegant restaurants on the yacht. Inspired by local cuisines from all over the world, the innovative menus will ensure guests have a taste of dishes from the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia.
Guests are sure to have a relaxing and luxurious experience on Ilma because, like the yacht itself, the experiences on board are made to be entertaining and enriching. Renowned experts will join the voyages to provide insights on the destinations to be visited. Aside from that, the Ritz-Carlton Yachts Collection usually partners with local artists and professionals for authentic cultural experiences on the yacht.
Moreover, evenings on the yacht can be relished best at The Bar. Guests can enjoy lively cocktails or relax with a simple nightcap in this cosy lounge. Especially with the premium labels from different corners of the world that can come with champagne and caviar pairings, nights on board are sure to be fun. Also, there’s a cigar lounge where guests can find an exquisite selection of premium hand-rolled cigars displayed in a contemporary humidor.
Finally, families coming aboard the yacht wouldn’t have to worry about keeping an eye on any little ones they might bring along. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection features a Ritz Kids club that offers a fun-filled and educational program for children, allowing them to explore the world around them.
The name Ilma, meaning “water” in Maltese, is a tribute of the brand to the sea. After the initial voyage of the superyacht Ilma, it will sail seven-to-twelve-night journeys on the Mediterranean. Rates start at $7,400 US ($11,300 AU) and can go up to $12,600 US ($19,300 AU).
The Ritz-Carlton Yachts Collection have since set the standard for luxury travel and accommodation, so with the upcoming inaugural season of their second ship, guests will surely be able to experience a refined voyage across the Mediterranean.
