Melbourne’s first luxury lifestyle hotel, W Melbourne will open this year just in time for Christmas. The hotel will have 294 stylish rooms and suites that all come with coveted W amenities, a W bathrobe, Davines bath amenities and a famed signature W bed. All rooms have a W MixBar that consists of a range of mini alcoholic beverages, perfect to make your own cocktails. W has incorporated a “Whatever/Whenever” service, giving guests the opportunity to ask for whatever they need, whenever they need from the concierge service.

Among the 294 rooms, there will be 29 exceptional suites, four spacious wow suites and the ultra-luxe extreme wow suite, which is located on level 15. The only other W hotel in Australia, which is located in Brisbane also has the extreme wow suite and it is renowned for its complete luxury. The suite consists of a fully equipped bar and dining space, and for an additional charge the hotel’s culinary team is on hand to curate a private dining experience. The room has custom lighting to suit each guests’ mood, an expansive living area, Bang and Olufsen entertainment system and an oversized flat screen LED TV. The extreme wow room also has a large ensuite, offering a deep-fill bathtub, where the mirror reveals a TV for ultimate bathtub relaxation, and a double-head rain shower with separate handheld shower heads. The bathroom also comes complete with GHD styling tools, including a hairdryer, straightener and curling wand. To top it off the famed W king sized bed comes cosy with 350 thread count sheets.

to indulge in. Culprit is a cafe-meets-wine-bar with a dine in and take away menu available to guests, open from early morning for breakfast and coffee, to late nights for dinner and cocktails. Warabi is another restaurant, showcasing delicious Japanese cuisine, culture and service. The restaurant is small and cosy, suitable for 30 diners and an additional private dining room which seats 10. The chefs pair seasonal and local ingredients with a vast selection of Japanese sake, whisky and beer. Lastly, Curious bar is the centre of the action with a bespoke cocktail list and a menu consisting of small bites and sharing plates for an all-night experience.

The luxurious hotel boasts 828 square metres of ultra-modern event space, perfect for functions big or small. W Melbourne will also have both a 24-hour gym and shared pool, available for all guests. These are both located on level 14 and guests will be provided with free towels and other amenities.

A W Sydney will be open in 2021.
