If you have ever wanted to travel the world and embark on a VIP cocktail experience all via a private jet, this incredible destination package by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts is an option for you. These exclusive $270,000 + private “pub crawls” takes spirits lovers to new heights.
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts have partnered with Canadian private aviation company AirSprint, which will fly guests on a top-of-the-line private jet to some of the most incredible Fairmont resorts around the world. Here they will embark on “VIP cocktail-centric experiences”. With luxurious comfort and avoiding airport hassles, flying in private jets also allows for guests to undertake itineraries that would be impossible on regular airlines.
One of the amazing destination packages you can choose from is the “Original Rum Run”. This journey takes guests to Barbados in the Caribbean, which is one of the earliest producers of the spirit rum. Guests will check into the opulent beachfront suite at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion, here they can spend their time relaxing and dining.
Guests will then visit some of the island’s most iconic distilleries. The tours of the distilleries are more of a VIP/behind the scenes exploration, compared to a standard, regular tour. The exclusive tour comes complete with rum-blending sessions and gourmet dining, and even includes a private lunch in the middle of a sugarcane plantation.
After all this rum tasting, guests are then flown directly to the next location (with a regular trip this would include a layover in Miami). Here they will continue to explore and experience rum with Gosling’s; the inventors of the Dark ‘N’ Stormy and Rum Swizzle cocktails. After the endless rum tasting, guests are continued to be invited to stay in their choice of a suite, penthouse of duplex at the island’s largest resort, the Fairmont Southampton.
Another delicious package spirits lovers can choose from is “The Perfect G&T (Gin and Travel”. This trip takes guests to the iconic bars around London that boast the best gin cocktails. Guests will be staying in the historic Savoy Hotel, Fairmont, in a beautiful river-view suite. They will then indulge in a vintage gin tasting in the Savoy’s renowned American Bar, they will also experience a three-course chef tasting dinner with gin pairings at Simpson’s in the Strand, and will embark on an exclusive journey at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in Hampshire, which includes a private gin cocktail masterclass, an interactive archive class covering the history of gin and an in-depth botanicals session.
There are a few new packages that will begin this year, such as the Tequila-centric tour that is based over Arizona and Mexico. A Champagne based tour is also set to his the market in 2020, with the destination unknown. Prices of these Fairmont tours are dependent on the package, the “Original Rum Run” starts at $270,000 for eight guests, where as “The Perfect G&T (Gin and Travel)” is based at $330,000 for just six people.
It may be an expensive pub crawl, but it is the most opulent way to not only explore the world but also explore the world of spirits.
