The Bentley home 2021 collection embodies the luxury finish your home desires, from a timelessly elegant sofa to a statement work desk.
The distinguished automotive brand Bentley motors released its new collaboration with Bentley home last month. It comprises four bold new furniture pieces, the Alford table, Ramsey love seat, Styal writing desk, and Newent armchair. An array designed to add elegance to any space, the aesthetics of each piece translates Bentley’s automotive excellence into stunning home accessories. Each design features Bentley’s classic robust, bold and timeless forms with wood stains that echo the interiors of their automobiles.
The 2021 range debuts a new vision at Bentley for innovation and luxury sustainability, sporting an exciting new series of cutting-edge materials and unique finishes. The collection is designed in collaboration with Italian architect Carlo Colombo and releases two new components that push the bounders of previous craftsmanship; a new Degradé lacquering technique and a revolutionary ethical marble powder fabric named Marm More.
Degrade lacquering is the process foundational to the sense of luxury and class in the 2021 collection. The lacquering technique is an intricate and complex process of hand panting on wood, generated to inspire a high-quality finish expected by Bentley customers. It involves applying varnish to natural wood followed by a gradual airbrush of colour by hand the craftsman accentuates to bring out the depth in the wood. A lengthy process of polishing and varnishing then brings the product to life through body and solidity. The finish is created in various stunning colours, including; Bronze Degradé, Rust Degradé, Silver Degradé, Dark Shadow, Deep Ocean and Midnight Walnut. The new process taken up by Bentley is customisable and instils a sense of instant luxury in all products.
Marm More fabric adds a second dimension to the innovation embedded in Bentley’s new furniture line, harnessing marble’s dust by-products into a workable material. Marm More is a revolutionary sustainable textile produced in Italy. The patented process uses actual waste from marble used in sculpture and architecture and transforms it into a material with unparalleled technical and aesthetic potential for sophisticated designs. Available in two colours, light grey and natural green, the fabric can be applied to any upholstered product in the new collection or applied to home designs in Bentley’s previous collections.
Both new attributes are embedded throughout Bentley Home’s 2021 collection. Explore the range below.
The Aldford Table
The Alford challenges conventional design bringing forth a structural art form. Sleek lines flow from the table’s legs and meet at the marble top, creating a suspended effect. The statement piece comprises three layers of colour; marble, glossy black, and metal, giving it a luxurious edge.
Ramsey Love Seat
The Ramsey is the seat that defies gravity, consisting of two futuristic pieces, a large sofa and a cosy love seat that suspend above ground. In a nod to the Bentley logo, the design is anchored by a tapered sell that flows towards armrests that reach out like wings.
Styal Writing Desk
Bentley takes elevates your work from home space. The Styal features a slim, lightweight design, including undulating curves intersected by a bold metal separator. Classic curved lines evoke a modern sense of luxury. The 3-meter long wooden desk has a choice of leather or veneer covering, making it the perfect addition to a contemporary office.
Newent Armchair
Like the Ramsey, the Newent seat sits off the floor, and its unique tapered design reflects the iconic Bentley winged shape. The Newent collection explores simple elegance and innovative design.
