The global homewares market is predicted to generate over $79.29 Billion in revenue from 2020-2024 and for luxury designers, grabbing a piece of this market has never been more attractive. For those who love high fashion and home décor, the next wave in designer goods in the homewares space is an exciting prospect. Let’s explore how leading design houses are showing off their skills with their latest home décor offerings.

Versace

Versace has always been a strong player in the homewares market, but their latest collections will bring a refreshed sense of fun and vibrant luxury to your home. The collection features everything from bed and bath ware and tableware to furniture and finishing décor and extends to pet accessories. Each item is enthusiastically styled with Versace’s aesthetic identity, comprising golden details contrasted with a dark base to merge sophistication with relaxation. In their latest drop, ‘Rosenthal meets Versace’, Versace introduces four new lines of table wear. It unveils a series of dining ware featuring vibrant pastel palettes of purple, teal, mint and silver blended with the classic gold shade. Gucci

The lovers of opulent décor rejoiced when Gucci announced its first homeware line, Gucci Décor, in 2017. Their collections have sported eclectic ranges of home accessories, candles, throw pillows and furniture, all featuring classic Gucci motifs such as the bee. Each homeware line an extension of creative director Alessandro Michele’s vision to bring “the eclectic, romantic aesthetic of the house to live in a way that enables customers to dress their own spaces creatively”. The homewares are crafted to inspire the romantic feelings of visiting the streets of Rome combined with the experience of seeking out luxury in local trinkets and textiles.

Saint Laurent

This year, YSL creative director Anthony Vaccarello announced a collaboration with Italian architectural design group Memphis Milano to release a playful collection of home items. The collection is inspired by Memphis’ postmodern design aesthetic featuring bold colour blocks, checkerboard patterns and geometric forms. The incredible exhibit takes inspiration from this timeless style and features furniture, including a boxing ring inspired bed and exuberant ceramics alongside books covering Mephisis’ extensive design history. In true high-fashion style, the collaborative homewares will complement a streetwear collection, including checkered hoodies, dresses, and a button-up shirt.

From furniture and tableware to coffee table books and blankets, fashion houses are pivoting to the interior design space, giving your home the touch of luxury it needs.
