Bondi is not only famous for its pristine, sparkling water beach, but also for the array of excitingly delicious restaurants. Below is a list of the must-visit restaurants this summer.
North Bondi Fish
North Bondi Fish is located at the North end of Bondi’s beautiful beach. Boasting extreme aesthetic views of the ocean, the restaurant also provides the seafood lover with everything from oysters to sashimi. The renowned restaurant was opened in 2013 by well-known chef Matt Moran, however, the kitchen is run by Jesse McTavish who has brought delicious and refreshing meals to another level.
The menu consists of dishes such as tiger prawns, ocean trout, yellowfin tuna, fish tacos, spanner crab, king salmon, fish curry, and mussels. The stunning views and delicious fresh produce make reason to why you will be paying a premium to eat there, with most mains around $40. But for that money, it is definitely worth it if you can relax in the summer sun with fresh oysters and an Aperol Spritz.
Sean’s Panaroma
Sean’s Panaroma is another beautiful beachfront restaurant in the heart of Bondi. From the outside Sean’s looks like an old, coastal cafe but inside, nothing but delicious modern Australian meals and refreshing drinks are at your fingertips. For nearly twenty-five years of supporting local produce, it would be rude not to go.
With an extensive wine list, a beautiful seafood based menu, and smaller seating capacity, Sean’s is a lot more intimate and relaxing compared to that of the upbeat bars scattered around Bondi. This is the perfect restaurant to visit to lift the mood and leave feeling ‘good’, but be sure to get in early, as first in means best ocean views.
Icebergs Dining Room and Bar
Icebergs is one of the most renowned restaurants in Bondi, boasting stunning views across the whole beach and down along Campbell Parade. Located on the south side of the beach, the private beach club is perfect for every occasion. The classic Italian/Australian modern food menu and utter refreshment from the extensive drinks menu, Head Chef Monty Koludrovic has absolutely nailed the experience for each guest.
Icebergs Bistro menu consists of mussels, oysters, burgers, fish and chips, fettuccini chilli prawns, roasted duck and many more. Icebergs also features an extensive drinks list, with multiple traditional cocktails, wines, beers and spirits. Icebergs also hosts multiple events, such as a bottomless brunch, hosted every Sunday. Guests will choose multiple dishes from a $55 (per person) pre-set menu, or $80 (per person) with bottomless Prosecco, $90 (per person) which includes Osetra Caviar Tarts and Champagne, or a cool $220 (person) for 30g Polanco Baeri Caviar, Blini and Pepe Saya Creme Fraiche.
These hot spots are some of many and are sure to fill up over summer, especially on the weekends, so get in early and beat the crowds.
