Comète Superyacht

Sail away in luxury! Enjoy the high seas on this extravagant marine vessel. Revel in the grandeur of this 83m superyacht. The yacht can host 12 guests, 2 staff and 20 crew members. It combines racing and drifting by reaching a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Named Comète, it was conceptualized by The A Group, Italian designer, Thibaud Le Merdy. The A Group is a Monaco-based yacht architecture studio, established in 1985 by Oceanco cofounder Richard Hein. Richard’s “Designed to Build” ethos has underpinned the basic framework for the companies’ design and architecture ambitions.

Yachting Director, Matt Pegrum, has been collaborating with Thibaud after he was named by the publication BOAT International as Young Designer of the year in 2017. Four years later, together, the pair presented Comète the revolutionary superyacht. They wanted guests to closely experience their natural surroundings in a comfortable and abundant space. Thibaud describes his vision for Comète as “for an owner who is willing to breathe fresh air and be close to the sea at every moment. It is what makes this yacht unique. You have to look at the exterior main deck saloon to understand that everything is nicer when you are closer to nature”.

The dynamic and elegant design hosts eight jet skis, two ten meter tenders and a seven-meter crew tender. The yacht also features two jacuzzies, a striking glass-bottom swimming pool, and the owner’s suite has its own 120 square metres private terrace.

Boat lovers marvel at the 3.6m draft, 15m beam and huge 1800GT interior. As a result, the yacht’s build contains a sprawling 220 square metres forward exterior. The refined overall shape is sleek in design, complementing the fine lines within.

“This design is for us the result of the perfect balance between spaces open to the surrounding nature and refined, clean forms”, the A Group Studio adds.

The yacht also boasts being environmentally friendly by allowing zero-emission power generation from its hydrogen fuel cells. The hull was specifically designed with lightweight materials to reduce the propulsion power required, thereby decreasing its environmental footprint. To optimise power shaving and waste heat-recovery systems, the Comète includes batteries that promote overall efficient energy savings and production.

This extravagant water vessel is the perfect combination of state of the art design and technology with an emphasis on being environmentally friendly. Guests will enjoy the splendour of travelling in this lavish superyacht which hosts all of the desired features to live a life of luxury.
