Dolce and Gabbana have released their new project close to their native home, Italy. The brand’s latest proposal is Italian wine, more specifically a Sicilian-inspired Rosé. The Rosé will be released in June and sounds like a delicious drop.

The Rosé is a collaboration with Donnafugata, a Sicilian winery and features a blend of two unique vines; Nerello Mascalese and Nocera. The wine is a fruity and floral Rosé, perfect to pair with a delicious cheese board or light summer’s dinner. Nerello Mascalese is a delicate variety known for its mineral notes and floral bouquet, which is grown on the slopes of Mount Etna. While the Nocera is an ancient varietal that ails from Contessa Entellina, adding a uniquely fruity tinge.

The grapes will all come from the 2019 vintage. Dolce and Gabbana have described the wine as “an elegant bouquet of jasmine, enriched with delicate hints of wild strawberry, peach and bergamot”.

Dolce and Gabbana are famous for their label’s clothing designs, and they have not stopped there when designing the packaging for their luxe Rosé. The packaging is lush and flawless, inspired by the iconic Sicilian cart, it features a subtle blush Rosé palette adorned with red, blue and white print that resembles the Amalfi’s coast’s well-known umbrellas.

Dolce and Gabbana have previously collaborated on other collections other than clothing and accessories. They have famously collaborated with Smeg for multiple collections, many of which have been shown at Milan Design Fair. This collaboration consisted of home appliances, from toasters to collector’s edition fridges. The iconic D&G can be found all over the world and now on your wine bottle too.

The Rosé will be available in June but the price is yet to be released, although we are sure it will be worth it whatever it may be.
