Dom Pérignon and Bvlgari have combined their expertise and creativity for an ultra-exclusive, limited edition luxury case of champagne. The Italian jewellery brand and the French champagne house use this edition to celebrate the works of art from both brands.
The champagne came together thanks to the shared vision of Bvlgari Creative Directive Lucia Silvestri and Dom Pérignon Chef d Cave Vincent Chaperon. The two Maisons share a strong cultural heritage that they continually renew with bold inspiration in their respective realms of jewellery and champagne. Bvlgari Serpenti x Dom Pérignon Rosé is an alluring invitation to an exclusive luxury that expresses the best of the two famous houses.
Sold in a wooden case lined in Bvlgari’s signature saffron colour and deep fuchsia, inside are three magnums of Dom Perignon Rosé Vintage 2004, which are protected by a stunning rose gold Bvlgari Serpenti necklace.
Designed by the Roman jeweller in the 1960s, the iconic Serpenti has since been revisted in myriad jewellery and leather goods creations. The necklace is crafted in rose gold for this ultra-exclusive edition, with onyx and white diamonds and comes coiled around a magnum of Dom Pérignon. The bottle itself also received a special commemoration and is engraved with the snake scale motif and has a rose gold label that highlights both the hue of the Bvlgari Serpent and the rosé robe of the champagne.
Bvlgari and Dom Pérignon have reappropriated the tempting snake figure to transform it into an object of desire worthy of the extraordinary elixir it protects. The 2004 vines experienced steady, problem-free vegetative growth, with abundant, sizable grape clusters- a stark contrast from the extreme 2003 season. The month of August was cool, and it was the dry heat in the final weeks of that summer that made for a mature and healthy crop that shaped the vintage as it is. The full-bodied wine was then aged in the cellar for 12 years. On the nose, it begins with fresh notes of red currants and wild strawberries, complemented by warm notes of ripe hay, blood orange and cocoa. On the palate, the wines integrity is enhanced by an unexpected hint of green citrus.
There are only four cases available in the world, and the collection is priced at over $360,000 and is sold in London, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo.
