Four Seasons Brings Purpose-Driven Wellness to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Coast

At the heart of the resort’s concept is “purpose-driven wellness”, with every aspect of the guest experience designed around physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Set against the Red Sea coastline and the mountainous horizon of Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk region, the resort provides a tranquil environment where nature is embraced within the resort’s architecture, enabling guests to connect with Saudi Arabia’s stunning views.

The property features 202 guest rooms and suites, each designed to maximise privacy and showcase the sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. In addition, there are 26 branded private residential villas, providing ultra-luxury accommodation with private pools and expansive living spaces.

The centrepiece of the resort is the HYLIAA Wellness and Spa, an expansive 2,095-square-metre facility named after the Arabic translation for “elegant beauty”. This wellness architecture is complemented by a 511-square-metre fitness centre equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and personalised wellness programming.

Unlike traditional luxury spas, HYLIAA has a holistic philosophy based on three key pillars: sky, land and sea. This ethos informs a calendar encompassing wellness experiences designed to help guests improve physical health, mental clarity and overall wellbeing.  Guests can choose from a one to three day wellness journey, tailored to the individual’s specific goals, whether it be to strengthen the body, refresh the mind or reconnect with nature. Consequently, there is a large range of potential activities, ranging from fitness training to mindfulness sessions and restorative treatments inspired by the region’s natural surroundings. Example activities include sunrise and starlight yoga on the beach, guided walks, stargazing and culinary workshops. Ultimately, this approach is crafted to offer complete wellbeing within a luxury ambience.

While the spa experience exists as the resort’s defining feature, Four Seasons has ensured that luxury remains central to the guest experience. Thus, the luxury extends to include a swimmable beach, multiple swimming pools, and six open-air dining venues that celebrate international flavours and traditional regional cuisine. Its dining experiences include Middle East-inspired cuisine and scenic venues overlooking the Red Sea.

The resort recognises that wellness extends beyond solo retreats, catering to a wide range of guests, including families, couples and groups. The retreat has catered to this mix, enabling both group activities and the ability to pursue individual wellness goals through customised programming.

Moreover, for those celebrating special occasions, the resort offers over 1,000 square metres of flexible event space, positioning itself as a premier venue for destination weddings and private celebrations.

One of the greatest advantages of the resort is its location within AMAALA’s Triple Bay development, a destination for luxury tourism that seeks to redefine wellness in the Middle East.

Moving beyond the resort itself, guests are also provided a range of attractions, such as the AMAALA Yacht Club and Marina Village, offering retail, dining and leisure experiences. Additionally, visitors are able to explore Corallium, a pioneering Marine Life Institute recognised for its striking architecture and its dedication to advancing the science of marine and coastal issues.

These attractions are integrated into a broader wellness route that encourages exploration, relaxation and connection with its surrounding environment. This approach aligns with a growing trend in luxury tourism, blending cultural immersion, environmental awareness and personal enrichment.

A key defining element of AMAALA is its commitment to regenerative tourism. This is an approach that moves beyond reducing environmental impact to include creating positive outcomes for local ecosystems and communities. Developed by Red Sea Global, the destination requires compliance with sustainability principles to maintain and protect the Red Sea’s unique biodiversity. This has been enacted through the implementation of renewable energy, advanced waste-management systems and conservation initiatives. The Four Seasons resort, therefore, operates in alignment with these goals, supporting broader efforts to ensure its operations positively contribute to the environment.

In support of local communities, guests can additionally participate and volunteer for community-focused initiatives through the Four Seasons for Good program, providing direct opportunities to engage with local communities and participate in social-impact projects. This combination of luxury and sustainability reflects the evolving expectations of affluent travellers and a broader consumer trend towards supporting organisations whose values align with their own.

In the modern world, travellers are searching for destinations that allows them to create a deeper affinity to their environment and new cultures while simultaneously improving their own wellbeing. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA integrates wellness programs with exceptional hospitality housed within beautifully luxurious architecture.
