American Express has launched their new lounge at Sydney Airport this month, and it is nothing short of luxury. Flying can be tiring and exhausting for many, so having a deluxe lounge area to relax before a flight can be exactly what single travellers or families need.
Known for their airport lounges all over the world, American Express has now opened their renovated Sydney lounge. The lounge is located in the international terminal of Sydney Airport and is three times the size of the old one. With the huge layout and endless relaxation areas, it is the perfect place to unwind before a flight or in a layover.
The lounge consists of complimentary fresh meals prepared by a team of experienced chefs, that are available from 6am until 11pm. The American Express lounge also includes a fully stocked bar, ranging from beer, champagne, wine and spirits. The lounge has also made a conscious effort to include a selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes on offer for guests to order.
The impressive lounge has also included a new and revamped suite of three showers that are available for all guests to use and enjoy – these are especially useful for customers travelling a long haul and waiting for their next flight in their layover. The bathrooms come equipped with beautiful L’Occitane products, making every guest feel fresh and revived.
The opulent and comfortable lounge also offers guests with free high-speed Wifi, perfect for the work travellers that need to catch up on emails before their flight takes off. Additionally, they have provided multiple charging stations for phones and laptops, which is a great way to keep the devices fully charged for the long flight ahead; especially for families with children.
American Express as included a large TV display screens within the lounges for guests to stay on top of their flight information.

The latest opening from American Express sees the traveller-focused card company join the luxury leagues of Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Emirates who also have world class lounges at Sydney Airport.
