Is This The End Of Traditional Luxury Cars? Jaguar Unveils The New Electric Type 00 Concept

Introducing the future. As most Motor companies are producing electric options and models for consumers, Jaguar unveils their take with their first electric car, seeking the tagline of “Copy Nothing”. Find out more below

The Drama Story

Unique and not the norm. Gerry Mcgovern, the Chief Creative Officer, at JLR, explained with excitement and controversy at an exclusive Miami Art Week event, saying hello to The Jaguar Type 00. Pronounced quite literally as zero-zero referring to past models most notably the E-Type, (explained in further detail onwards) the first zero symbolises zero emissions from the car’s electric powertrain and the second zero meaning a focal point for the whole new lineage of Jaguars entering the modernism of the Future. A supposed ‘Copy of Nothing’ believes Founder Sir William Lions as fearless creativity is celebrated as the brand’s new target.

Colour, a key component behind the dramatic change of motors, “Satin Rhodon Rose” otherwise dubbed as ‘Miami Pink’ in honour of the iconic Miami architecture with the rose colour representing aging brass. Inception Silver Blue otherwise dubbed as ‘London Blue’ in appreciation of British Creativity. With overall inspiration from the 1960s Opalescent silver blue E-type Jaguar, this new design has made a 360 now extruding what the Jaguar team calls Exuberant Modernism. So the drama of it all continues.

“The magic of Jaguar is close to my heart—an original British luxury brand unmatched in its heritage, artistry, and emotional magnetism,” said JLR CEO

The Features

So sleek it almost looks fake, the design features a long bonnet unlike other electric cars, with a swept roofline and a fastback profile followed by 23-inch alloy wheels emphasising the silhouette. With no desire to be loved by everybody with the vehcile already stirring mixed emotions, you either love it or hate it. Moving on to the interior obviosuly notably photoshoped for the time being, the interior incoporates flat front seats which are bisected by a brass spine which are technically physically difficult to transform to life to a production car but they will most likely be replicated as interior trim sectors.

No visible instruments or controls are witnessed within the luxury motor; instead two large screens are seen which are placed on each side of the spine making it extremely minimalistic. Aside from wool blend seats the center spine is supported by travertine stone. You read that right, stone, making it even clearer to consumers that this visual is just a photoshopped version with not-so-realistic materials, although as production goes on, there will undoubtedly be parts that Jaguar will just take design motif inspiration from, albeit toned down for production.

Jaguar’s chief creative officer Gerry McGovern confirms that the Type 00 will be “The most powerful Jaguars made, capable of producing 1,000 horsepower. “

Desire to recapture the essence of Jaguar’s original creative conviction will this new production line be successful to the company and will it be safe on the roads, unlike other electric models?
