The elegant, limited edition 2020 Lexus LC500 is now available in Australia and is most definitely a luxury car worthy of attention.

The divine pearlescent shade is both unique and sophisticated, like the overall design of this automobile, which is the star of Lexus’ Inspiration Series. Perfectly complementing the external appearance, the interior colour scheme is bespoke with the model-specific, two-tone earthy Saddle Tan and Black Amber semi-aniline leather. This is the softest, highest-quality leather in the Lexus range, used for the 10-way power-adjustable seats.

The striking two-tone colour motif is even present in the set of 21-inch wheels. Classy, organic lines highlight the exquisite craftsmanship, as well as the intricate-yet-not-excessive interior accents, which look both comfortable and aesthetically appealing. The black leather, used on the steering wheel, dashboard, centre console and doors, contrasts the tan seats, though are harmoniously woven together with brown stitching. The rich darker brown shade of suede-like Alcantara leather on the door panels, add depth with texture and an enticing, luxurious ambience.

Powered by a 5-litre V8 petrol engine, which generates 471 horsepower (351 kW), this edition is a 10-speed automatic transmission and can reach 0-97km/h within a timeframe of 4.4 seconds, according to Lexus’ American branch. There is also the LC 500h, which is the Self-Charging Hybrid version powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and an electric motor. It’s price tag is $558 on top of the LC 500 coupe. Lexus also claims it to “feature the world’s first four-stage Multi Stage Hybrid System.”

There are some technological upgrades with the new LC – in comparison to previous models – including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Lexus App Suite compatibility, as well as a 10.3 inch multimedia display screen. Also, the top-quality Mark Levinson Reference Sound System, complete with 13 speakers and a CD/DVD player.

Each vehicle comes with laser-cut sill plates to label the car’s “limited-edition nature”, affixed in the door openings. The LC 500 also comes in the colours titanium and graphite, in addition to the eye catching green lustre.

The convertible version is expected to be in Australian stores by the second half of this year, which is expected to be a real spectacle after a turbulent first half of 2020. Scott Thompson, Lexus’ chief executive said the LC 500 convertible’s “exotic design is true to the award-winning coupe, while superb craftsmanship and sophisticated underpinnings ensure impeccable luxury and extraordinary handling coexist.” This convertible model will be the third convertible Lexus has produced in it’s 30-year-long history and will be showcased in the delectably elegant royal blue or “Morphic Blue” colour, radiating tasteful affluence.
