Longitude 131, The Luxury Resort at the Heart of Australia

Situated on a private acreage 10 kilometres from Uluru is the stunning luxury accommodation Longitude 131. The tents and pavilion offer some of the most spectacular and unique views in the world, with their lodgings providing views of the one-of-a-kind Uluru.

The main accommodation available at Longitude 131 is the tents. They have 15 tents available for you to stay in. Features of staying in the tents are the king bed, ensuite with rain showers, private balcony with day bed, fireplace, complimentary mini-bar, custom-designed furniture and artworks by local Indigenous artists. The most breathtaking part of staying in the tents are the floor to ceiling windows that offer unparalleled views of Uluru and the stars in the night sky.

If you want more space on your holiday or increased luxury, Longitude 131 offer the Dune Pavilion. A stay in the Dune Pavilion gives guests two bedrooms with king beds and ensuites, eco-smart fireplaces, outdoor lounges and day bed, a private plunge pool and spa, deep bathtubs and rain showers, custom furnishings and artworks from local artists. It is the only accommodation that has views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

Whilst staying at Longitude 131, you can elect to participate in their bespoke experiences. Their bespoke experiences include guided walks, adventures and full-day tours. Guided walks can occur through Kata Tjuta, which can be shortened to just Karu lookout, their Uluru base walk, which is stunning at sunrise, or their hike to Karingana Lookout. Adventures are perfect for photographers or people looking to capture the best background for a special moment. Full-day tours include delving into Ernabella Arts, the local indigenous artist community, and a drive and walk around Kings Canyon, made famous by the iconic Australian film Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Longitude 131’s restaurant is Table 131, and executive chef Ryan Ward heads it. Ward is well versed in creating unique dishes that reflect the resort’s location, having previously worked at Likuliku Lagoon Resort in Fiji. He reflects the Australian outback by using local bush ingredients and integrating traditional Indigenous cooking techniques in his food. Table 131 is one of the most extraordinary outdoor dining experiences in the world.

Longitude 131 has an in-resort spa called Spa Kinara, which offers all spa packages you could want, from facial therapies to full body rituals. Dune Hose is the central part of the resort that contains a restaurant, a lounge, an outdoor terrace and a bar. Dune Top is a unique outdoor lounge that has views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy a drink from the bar or take a dip in the plunge pool. Private dining pods offer an intimate experience under the stars.
