The Reef House

The Reef House is a Queensland treasure that has been creating magical, tropical experiences for guests, for over 47 years. The boutique accommodation is located twenty-five minutes from Cairns, based in the heart of Palm Cove, and is the perfect place to relax and revive.

The colonial beach house escape includes a broad variety of luxury amenities. Guests will be welcomed upon arrival with a refreshing gin infused drink and a cold towel. The boutique includes an Adults Only Tranquility Pool, perfect for couples on a romantic getaway. There is also a variety of complementary in house classes on offer, designed for guests’ enjoyment and relaxation. These include Aqua Aerobics in the heated mineral pool, Stretch and Breathe classes and a Cocktail Mixology class.

Every morning at 11am, cold towels are served around the pools and at the Brigadier’s Lounge, and additionally, at 3pm each day, the Reef House staff serve local tropical sorbet around the pools and lounge respectively. Furthering the opulence, from 5pm to 6pm each nights, guests are invited to attend Brigadier’s Punch and Canapés served at the Brigadier’s Bar.

Throughout the stay, guests will have unlimited use of vintage style cruiser bikes to explore around Palm Cove, the use of fishing rods at the infamous Palm Cove jetty, a book exchange at the extensive guest library, board games and sketch kits are also available to everyone.

The Reef House Day Spa offers intense relaxation and rejuvenation for all guests staying. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi is also available anywhere around the resort.

There is a large variety of suites available for booking, the differences can range from private balconies to private spas, the number of rooms and the type of views. All rooms are serviced daily and prices range from $360 to $1394 per night.

Reef House Restaurant is in a prime location for tropical dining. The restaurant has been cooking and serving since the 1960’s and is nestled under the beautiful palms and Melaleuca trees. The restaurant encapsulates beautiful views of the sea and tranquility like nowhere else. The menu is comprised of local, fresh produce sourced from North Queensland, and the wine list will compliment any meal.

Reef House Restaurant also now offers Private Dining for in-house guests, where they will be able to experience a delicious six course Degustation menu with matching wines, all while in the privacy of their own patio or balcony. The Reef House Restaurant also offers breakfast and lunch for all guests.

The Reef House Day Spa is the perfect area for anyone wanting to relax. Director, Isabelle Neil has been trained in therapies such as anti-ageing, deep relaxation massage and slimming treatments. The menu mentions that the commitment to guests is to “offer treatments designed for intense relaxation, rejuvenation, general well-being, and last but not least the simple enjoyment of being nurtured by a caring therapist”. The Reef Spa menu consists of full body massages, hair treatment massages, seasonal botanical facials, body exfoliators, and hand and foot therapy.

The Reef House maintains a relaxed, boutique feel and offers a range of holiday packages for couples, providing guests with the very best in Luxury Palm Cove accommodation.
