Rolls-Royce has announced their latest boutique accessory, which is an addition to their Connoisseur’s Collection. The Cellarette expands the usage of a luxurious Rolls-Royce car by allowing easy access to cigars or snacks for non-smokers and your choice of drinks.
Inspiration for the Cellarette came from the historical decorated wooden cabinets that appeared in the houses of the wealthy as early as the 15th Century. Historically, cellarettes were used to store alcohol such as wine or whiskey and reached their full height of popularity in the eighteenth- and nineteenth centuries. They were often intricately decorated so that they would appear, to the casual observer, like a table or bookshelf or another piece of furniture. The Cellarette implements many of these principles; the primary purpose is to hold beverages. It comes with Rolls-Royce branded glass for you to enjoy; it is beautifully decorated in a modern and opulent style.
The sleek and dark exterior of the Cellarette opens up to reveal a polished aluminium interior lit softly by warm ambient lights. Opening the top creates a silver tabletop and reveals that stored underneath four hand-blown lowball glasses branded with Rolls-Royce’s signature “RR” monogram. A push of a button unveils the side hammocks containing the humidor and the drink chest. The side hammocks are lined with leather, and both sides offer “RR” embellished holders. There is a bottle pannier on one side, which can be adapted to hold bottles of different sizes safely using a polished aluminium fastener that magnetically holds bottles in place. This allows for the safe transport of your choice of beverage. On the other side is a Spanish Cedarwood lined cigar tray. For optimal enjoyment, the cigars are kept in a desirable humidity range; this is monitored by the hygrometer that is attached on the side. A snack-bowl configuration can be arranged for non-smokers.
Two superb accessories accompany the Cellarette to top off Rolls-Royce’s perfectionist style. Magnetically attached on either end of the cigar holder are two smaller containers. One contains a cigar cutter and lighter made by S.T. Dupont, Paris, and engraved with the signature Spirit of Ecstasy; the other container functions as an ashtray. Although the Cellarette fits into any Rolls-Royce, it is most impressive when used as a centrepiece for dining experiences like al fresco dining and intimate dinners.
Other accessories in the Connoisseur’s Collection include a champagne chest, the icon luggage collection, a picnic hamper, the Spirit of Ecstasy – uplift and a humidor for your glove box.
Rolls-Royce continues to offer breath-taking luxury with the introduction of the Cellarette to the Connoisseur’s Collection. It is available from Rolls-Royce dealerships, and prices start at AUD 75,000.
