Saturnia the Superyacht Complete With Private Port

Saturnia is the latest superyacht concept envisioned by Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini. This 100-meter long superyacht is the next revolutionary innovation coming out of Lazzarini Design Studio.

Lazzarini keeps innovating, and Saturnia will bring about a new era for lighter and faster superyachts that are quicker to build. Saturnia is constructed entirely from a dry carbon fibre structure. Lazzarini estimates that the yacht will be 50% lighter than comparably sized superyachts and will be faster, with an estimated top speed of 30 knots. It is powered using twin side diesel engines and a central electronic water jet system; this hybrid design emits zero emissions. Saturnia’s design allows for efficient construction using procedures that have never been used before in the yachting industry.

The focal point of the superyacht is the walkable deck that goes all around the deck area and allows access to the inner harbour. The inner harbour allows the mooring of tenders with up to a 1.5-meters draft; it is your private garage on the ocean. When the port is open, the side gates rise and transform into a lounge area with a stunning glass floor looking onto the ocean waves below. The inner harbour can incorporate seawater, too, that when the gates are closed, can be kept inside or drained out, allowing for easy diving access.

The five floors of Saturnia can be configured to suit individual needs and can fit 10-20 suites for guests and 20 crew members. It can feature a gym and spa, multiple pools, indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, and a launchpad for eVTOLs. For those who want to experience the open sea in luxury, Saturnia has a large sliding window connecting the interior to the sea breeze outside.

Saturnia features a tamed down version of Lazzarini’s style. His elegant lines and inspiration from geometric abstraction are still present in Saturnia’s sleek design. However, he doesn’t draw upon sea-faring animals with Saturnia, unlike his cruise ship, The Sea Flower, which has a stingray design, his superyacht, Prodigum, which has a shark design, and his superyacht, Avanguardia, which has a swan design. Lazzarini’s deviation from Italian designs tradition makes him one of the most interesting designers in the world.

Lazzarini can help you get the superyacht of your dreams for $300 million and has a construction period of 30 months. Lazzarini has also designed a hyper jet, a flying car, multiple luxury vehicles, experimental vehicles and multiple sea-based suites and houses.

Lazzarini continues to innovate and push the barriers of superyachts. His visionary ideas will bring about a new era of bigger, lighter and faster superyacht designs. Last week’s announcement of the Saturnia superyacht concept cements it as the original superyacht to push these barriers, and the future owner will go down in superyacht history.
