Sequoia is the first luxury lodge located in the highlands of Adelaide Hills at the Mount Lofty House Estate, opening in September 2020. With a $15 million price tag, the fourteen contemporary, luxurious suites boast spectacular views over Piccadilly Valley. The experience will allow guests to indulge in daily activities such as tastings and spa days.
Each suite is 75 metres squared, with an open-plan design and 180-degree valley views. The suites consist of a sunken lounge room with a deluxe gas fireplace, a king sized bed that faces large windows which offer uninterrupted views of of the valley and night sky, a light-filled bathroom, again consisting of stunning valley views, an east facing balcony with a relaxing daybed, and a state-of-the-art smart home control system.
Outside the suites and in the private estate, guests are welcome to use the private club lounge area that comes complete with a sundeck and a plunge pool, beautiful and unique Australian Sequoia garden access, and a designated guest relations team that are there to help with every aspect of the stay.
Boasting the essence of luxury, Sequoia has incorporated some indulgent inclusions for every guest, these include a welcome drink, limited minibar, gourmet breakfast, daily drinks and tasting plate, daily signature onsite activities, onsite parking, and a bottle of Mount Lofty House Estate Sparkling.
Additionally, guests will also have access to Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant, which is three hatted fine dining and one of the countries top twenty restaurants. Guests will enjoy the seasonal two to seven course degustation style menu that combines head chef Jin Choi’s Asian heritage with local Australian produce. Arthur Waterhouse Lounge and Bar is a New York style cocktail bar tat guests are also welcome to indulge in. This bar offers casual meals throughout the day through to the evening and services Adelaide Hills’ most refreshing and creative cocktails, as well as craft beers and local spirits.
Sequoia includes an onsite day spa, ideal for those wishing to relax and revive. Stables Day Spa is located in the oldest building on the estate, and guests will experience world-class face and body rituals, using Australian made natural skincare products full of organic plant infusions from the rich Australian wildlife.
Among the luxurious amenities and experiences mentioned above, guests will also be able to immerse themselves into Australian nature. The estate is surrounded by Australian flora and fauna, with common appearances from kangaroos and koalas that are scattered all around. These wonderful animals can be viewable in their natural habitat by taking part in walking trails and hiking tracks, or the nearby wildlife sanctuary where guests can hold and cuddle a koala.
