Leading sustainable luxury brand Soneva has revealed a new, exclusive resort concept. Launching in January 2024, the resort is in the remote Haa Dhaalu atoll in the Maldives. Soneva Secret 2024 announced that the first 14-villa resort has been thirty years in the making to create an ultimate secluded paradise. The brand has vowed to redefine personalised service and outstanding accommodation within pristine natural surroundings.
Soneva Secret 2024 is comprised of an exclusive 14 beach and overwater villas, including unique lagoon Crusoe Villas, reachable only by boat, and the original Castaway, the Maldives’ first floating villa.
The accommodation is innovatively designed so each villa seamlessly merges into its picturesque surroundings and has direct access to the beach or lagoon. In addition to large master suites, every villa includes adjoining bedrooms to accommodate for both families or larger groups.
The 14 private villas all offer signature stays. For example, guests can choose to stay at the Beach Hideaway, surrounded by pristine white sand and jungle or the equally exceptional Overwater Hideaway, which includes a spa treatment room, dining sala and a curved waterslide into the lagoon. Other accommodation options include the Castaway Villa, Crusoe Villa, Beach Reserve and Crusoe Reserve.
Every villa will be attended to by a committed Barefoot Guardian and Barefoot Assistant, adding to the unique and individually tailored experience for every guest. Furthermore, the resort’s 14 private chefs (one for each villa), will design tailored menus and culinary experiences to be enjoyed by guests either in their villas or amongst the island’s scenic landscapes – further adding to the luxury resort experience.
Guests also have the opportunity to indulge in other unique dining experiences. Out of This World features a castaway dining tower, observatory and wine cellar in the lagoon, accessible via a zipline. For those guests who wish for a more grounded dining experience, So Primitive offers beachside firepit dining.
Other amenities at the luxury resort includes The Living Room which serves as the island’s central hub. It provides casual dining and lounge facilities, including a library, boutique and Soneva’s renowned ice cream, chocolate, cheese and charcuterie offerings.
To make the most of the spectacular surroundings, Soneva Secret 2024 will offer bespoke experiences that allow guests to immerse themselves in the secluded island. The clear waters are home to spectacular mantra rays, dolphins, whale sharks and vibrant tropical fish. Families can partake in activities such as picnics on secluded shores, sunset dolphin cruises, guided snorkelling led by a Marine Biologist, or stargazing under the Milky Way with the resident Astronomer.
To reach the exclusive resort guests will embark on a 75-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport in Male. Otherwise, guests can opt for a 40-minute seaplane flight from Soneva Fushi in the Baa Atoll or a full-day cruise from Soneva Fushi abroad Soneva in Aqua.
Soneva Secret 2024 is the ultimate luxury destination and is now accepting bookings for stays from 10th January 2024 – an idyllic destination for those who want to experience a slice of paradise.
