SuperYachts Monaco has just released a visionary concept design in partnership with Roberto Cuburto Design for a 135m Gigayacht. Named Project Sunrise, the model is sleek chic and consists of sporty lines and is available for public viewing on Boat International. Ultra-luxuriating, beautiful and elegant, the yacht will “only be built if an owner comes along who wishes to build her”, according to SuperYachts Monaco.

The partnership has resulted in the magnificent creation of Sunrise, named because of how the yacht’s sides dip towards the water, like ‘the sun at the break of day.
The gigayacht is 135m in length, and the beam is 19m wide. It can host up to 22 guests across 11 luxe cabins and 49 crew at once. It features a helipad, a huge tender garage, a drive-in jet ski bay, an astronomical observatory, two pools, an enormous owner’s cabin with a private gym, an office and indoor/outdoor pool, a gym, a cinema and two dining rooms.
The firms aimed to create “an idyllic island resort vibe”. So they designed the interior to have large expansive windows and use structural glass to allow light to infiltrate into the cabin. Taking cues from Japanese minimalist design, the face consists of swathes of polished wood, slatted screens, elegant furnishings, thoughtfully placed pops of colour, and the room’s centrepiece is a kintsugi styled water drop statue coming from a hole on the deck above to below.
Not just an aesthetic masterpiece, the Sunrise is a high-performance vessel. It can soar up to an outstanding 24 knots an hour or cruise at 18knots. Likewise, it is impressive in its ability to cover a distance of 6000 miles.
This masterpiece is a work of utter brilliance. It is exuberant in its design, style and performance. The ideation of this yacht aims to bathe its owner in luxury and opulence. With no current price tag, this beauty is an illusion that we can only dream.
