Sydney’s summer is more than iconic, with the beautiful must-visit beaches and huge array of dining options. However, over the recent years, Sydney has developed quite the reputation for luxurious outdoor cinemas. Below are the top three star-lit cinemas that are sure to play the new releases and also some fan favourite films.
Mov’in Bed
Mov’in Bed is hosted on the carpark rooftop at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park, Eastern Suburbs. This cinema opens on Friday the 17th of January and will be playing movies almost every evening until Sunday the 8th of March. Mov’in Bed is the biggest outdoor bed cinema in the world, with 150 beds provided for guest under the beautiful summer skies. Instead of the boring old picnic rug and beach chairs, the beds are queen sized with LED-lit bedside tables, comfortable pillows and even a blanket.
Mov’in Bed was launched in the summer of 2016 and was sold out in an incredible two weeks and was titled one of the five best cinema experiences in the world. The operators mix the latest blockbusters, the movies of the year, Disney classics and special horror movie nights. For those who love to snack during a movie, the outdoor bed cinema also brings gourmet goods. There will be multiple pop-up restaurants delivering delicious food straight to your designated bed. Beer, wine, popcorn and lollies can all be enjoyed under the star-lit sky as well.
