As Australia quickly moves into the autumn and winter season, your wardrobe must-have the clothing to keep you warm and keep up with the latest designer fashion trends. Luckily, Australia is home to many remarkable designers who are starting to release their Autumn/Winter 2021 season.

Women’s Designer Fashion

In this autumn/winter season, designer women’s fashion brand Oroton is placing a strong focus on knit garments are autumnal colours. Perhaps the most catching piece in their latest release is the Mineral Print Blouse. Fashioned from silk twill, it features a cowl neck with tie, dropped shoulder and natural shell buttons. The statement of the piece is the graphic mineral print which presents the autumnal colours of the collection intricately—style with the Oroton Wide Leg Pant.

Luxury designer Ginger and Smart’s 2021 Autumn/Winter collection titled “Underworld” focuses on deep hues and denim. The Vapour Dress is one of the big statement pieces of the collection. Inspired by the changing nature of water, the Vapour dress is hand-painted using deep blues, mint and crème on silk twill. The fluidity of the dress further mimics the ebb and flow of water.

The luxury coat needed to top off your winter look is the Milna Coat by Rebecca Vallance. Rebecca Vallance are taking a contemporary look with the checked hues of the white and pink coat. Made from a sumptuously soft wool/alpaca blend, it is the cherry on top for sophisticated looks.

Accessories

Romance Was Born have released a range of autumn bags. They have a range of woven bags made with sustainability in mind from deadstock fabrics. To produce the bags, they take the deadstock fabrics and make them into roulee strings, and then they hand-weave them into the bag’s fabric. A motif of Romance Was Born’s autumn collection is patchwork which they apply exceptionally to a range of autumn bags. The Autumn patchwork bag is made from cotton canvas and is fully lined with bamboo handles. Due to the nature of the patchwork, every bag is unique.

Men’s Designer Fashion

Melbourne based Menswear designer Christian Kimber in his latest collection, “The State Library”, seamlessly blends everyday wear and sophistication. Focusing on Knitwear, Christian Kimber is perfect for Melbournian autumn and winter; however, a highlight of the collection is the Sorrento Tech Bomber. They are using a specialty fabric from dyed cotton/nylon woven in Prato, Italy. Designed to be a refined piece of everyday wear, it is durable, waterproof, doesn’t crease and has a relaxed fit.

Having launched their winter 2021 collection a week ago, Bassike offers an exclusive interpretation of men’s casual wear. Their ‘two-tone classic raglan knit’ is a standout piece of the collection. Made from 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere, it has a raglan sleeve and back seam detailing. All of Bassike’s clothing is made ethically, adhering to global ethical standards.
