The hottest event in Sydney in celebration of Mother’s Day this year will be held at O Bar and Dining. With a decadent Mother’s Day menu and 360 panoramic views of Sydney, what more could you want on a beautiful Sunday with mum?
Here we have listed a description of the specially-crafted Mother’s Day menu and what else to expect:
The irresistible Mother’s Day menu offers a one-day-only special of entrees, mains and desserts, some that are originally from O Bar’s lunch and dinner menu, and some that are new to the table. There is an array of delectable dishes to choose from the entree menu. Some of the standout entrees are the seared scallops, crushed peas & millet, onion jam, chickpea miso dressing, seeded labneh and the Vanella stracciatella, heirloom vegetable rotolo, tempura zucchini blossom, roasted garlic, and chilli oil.
The dinner menu is just as theatrical with inspired warm and hearty dishes that are perfect for this season. One of the most delicious lunches on offer is the hand made raviolo of spinach & grilled vegetables, gochujang butter, pickled oyster mushrooms, and puffed buckwheat. The other options involve meat and fish as the hero ingredients; these include steamed fillet of blue eye, grilled Robbins Island Wagyu rump and twice-cooked rump of Milly Hill lamb. The only annoying part of your Mother’s Day experience at O Bar will be trying to make a decision about what to eat!
As for the final course, there is an assortment of sweet and savoury desserts to choose from. Between the chocolate textures, blackcurrant sorbet and selection of cheeses, the standout dish without a doubt is the crème brûlée lemon tart, candied yuzu peel ice cream, charcoal meringue sticks.
The adult menu is also complemented with a glass of sparkling rosé and a gift box filled with chocolate for your mum’s special day.
The kids’ menu is just as elegant, yet simplified for the young ones using the popular classics with a contemporary twist. The entrees include bruschetta, duck and chicken spring rolls and an ancient grain risotto. From the main dishes, the children can choose from a wonderful array of gourmet bolognese, fish and chips and a small roast. We believe the dessert menu will most likely catch their eye; ice cream, crème brûlée and Eton mess. What’s not to love?
With glowing reviews left, right and centre that are based on the atmosphere, the service, the food and of course the view, it appears O Bar and Dining does live up to the hype!
The Fork is filled with 4.5-5 star reviews, with one guest stating, “What an impressive venue, obviously goes without saying the Sydney CBD by night was awesome. But it’s truly the food and service that are the number one thing. So delicious and attentive service. Highly recommend. Beautiful night.” With all ages covered, the Mother’s Day lunch at O Bar and Dining this year is bound to be a success.
