Upgrade Your Next Holiday With Australia’s Most Luxurious Hotels

Take your next holiday to new levels with this list of the most luxurious hotels available in Australia. With many forms of accommodation available, whether it be a villa in the middle of the Australian bush or a penthouse in a major city, there is sure to be something that could transform your holiday into an unforgettable experience.

The Crown Towers have become Australia’s most expensive hotel stay. At approximately $25,000 per night, the Chairman’s Villa in Melbourne and Perth are available by request only. With both cities boasting large penthouses with multiple bedrooms, a multi-story living room with soaring ceilings and private entertainment space, it doesn’t get more luxurious than this. Each suite has a private gym, bar and dining space, grand piano and 24/7 butler and concierge service.

Architect Michael Fiebrich is responsible for ensuring the Melbourne space possesses luxurious details reflected in the lighting and furniture, with a wraparound balcony providing views over the Yarra River. In Perth, Blainley North redesigned the suite to maintain a geometric design with dark monochromatic tones, giving guests the perfect place to pamper themselves in the heart of the city.

The Sydney Suite in Park Hyatt is a two-bedroom stay at $16,000 per night, for a minimum of two nights. With direct views of the iconic Opera House, this room even has a $9000 toilet that plays music! The open plan design features multiple TVs, including one built into the bathroom mirror. If you crave even more of a luxury experience, the entire fourth floor is available to be booked for $50,000 per night.

Meanwhile, the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane will set you back a lot less at $4000 per night; however, its old fashioned charm has attracted the likes of Justin Timberlake, Elton John, and even Queen Elizabeth herself in the 1970s. You can also upgrade to the High Life Suite for $10,000 a night, including a private chauffeur, butler, massages, and French champagne.

The Saffire Freycinet is known as the world’s “Best Boutique Hotel” and offers an exclusive experience to guests with a breathtaking view of the Tasmanian landscape. Private chartered flights are available to view the Freycinet National Park from above, with blue water and rolling hills as far as the eye can see. Private pavilions and luxurious signature suites are available for roughly $3000 a night.

Also starting at $3000 per person, the Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island provides a stretch of luxurious cabins in the middle of the South Australian bush. The iconic Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island was widely regarded as one of the world’s best hotels since it opened in 2008. Located in the middle of the South Australian bush and overlooking the ocean from cliffs edge, this stretch of luxurious cabins was enjoyed by many before being tragically destroyed in the bushfires in January 2021.

However, there are grand plans for rebuilding and facelift, with the renovations providing tweaks that will transform the lodge into an even more spectacular experience. The rooms are due to be available to stay in again from 2023, from $3000 a night per person.
