Tiffany & Co. Unveils New Flagship Store in Tokyo

The grand opening of the much-anticipated Tiffany & Co. Omotesando store has been unveiled. It follows the reopening of Tiffany’s iconic Fifth Avenue store in New York as the brand brings ‘The Landmark’ concept to Japan.

The star-studded event in the Japanese capital saw actress Anya Taylor Joy joined by Shintaro Kitsuda, President of Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc. and Anthony Ledru, Chief Executive Officer of Tiffany & Co., cut the branded ribbon of the store. Situated along the tree lined Omotesando boulevard, other attendees included Florence Pugh, Hailey Bieber and other local and international celebrities.

1972 marked the first flagship store opening in Tokyo and Tiffany’s third premises located outside the United States of America. After relocating in 1996, the Ginza store was then rennovated in 2008. Fifteen years on, the building with a striking façade designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma embarks on a new journey in its long history.

The Tiffany & Co. store stretches across nearly 890 meters and designed to a high specification with gentle curving details and soft palettes that produce an inviting and refined environment. Unique artworks are situated alongside the House’s exceptional collections, including a new diamond vitrine design notion that immerses guests in the luxury world of Tiffany & Co.

Each floor showcases the brand’s most iconic collections. In Tokyo’s store, the first floor displays renowned collections such as Tiffany T, Tiffany Hardwear and Tiffany Lock. It also includes an area devoted to the Elsa Peretti collections which pays respect to the legendary designer who joined Tiffany & Co in 1974 and captivated the world with her organic and sensual designs. Peretti’s aesthetic is also mirrored in how the space has been designed, including furnishings in a cork material based on her renowned Bean design.

When clients reach the second floor, they will discover Tiffany’s iconic Love & Engagement collection, featuring the Tiffany Setting that founder Charles Lewis Tiffany introduced in 1886. This exceptional six-prong setting lifts the diamond, pioneering the modern engagement ring.

Further showcases include the iconic selection of Tiffany High Jewellery creations that honour the renowned creativity of designer Jean Schlumberger. Marked as one of the most gifted artists of the 20th century, he joined Tiffany in 1956 and left an indelible mark on the luxury brand’s history. Schlumberger’s iconic Bird on a Rock brooch remains one of Tiffany’s most exceptional creations. To enhance the experience further, the flagship store contains a private salon that has been redesigned as a luxurious living room where clients can indulge in a magical interlude.

Tiffany & Co. is renowned for its timeless collections with the opening of the Omotesando store emphasising the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence worldwide and upholding its legacy in the industry.
