Bennelong Reinvents Fine Dining

Bennelong Restaurant in partnership with the Opera House are excited to offer a truly unforgettable experience titled the Bennelong Ensembles experience.

Opening their doors after seven months of refurbishment in October 2020 with the grand addition of a stage, live performances will take diners on a beautiful culinary journey. Located at the doorstep of the iconic Opera House, diners can indulge the amazing creations of Peter Gilmore for a sunlit lunch or a magical dinner. Be prepared to let your minds wander as you absorb the sights, gaze as the Sydney Harbour lights twinkle in the water as you hear the harmonious sounds fill the iconic shells.

Bennelong Restaurant is thrilled to be able to offer live performances at such a time where COVID-19 has devastated many industries, being able to bring the two experiences together under the infamous Opera shells showcasing phenomenal Australian talent such as Phillip Johnston Duo, Julie Lea Goodwin and Ursula Yovich, just to name a few. Unveiling multiple sessions, new and returning diners are able to indulge all their senses during the day or in the evening.

Be spoilt for choice when making your reservation choosing between The Restaurant or The Counter (bar seating) each offering a different experience. The Restaurant area will see you dine in either the main floor or in The Circle on the upper level. The Counter is a high bar style seating providing partial views of the musicians. Menu options vary depending on seating area. Be dazzled with a glass of sparkling wine as you arrive, which is available for all sessions.

Live at Bennelong is scheduled between 12:00pm – 3:30pm accompanied by a three-course meal. Live performances will finish at 4:30pm.

Bennelong Presents and Bennelong Presents: An Enchanted Evening will turn your fine dining experience into something truly magical commencing with performances starting at 5:30pm – 7:30pm with a second seating starting at 8:00pm – 10:30pm. Bookings are essential as the live sessions are very limited. After the tumultuous past year and aftermath of a global pandemic, this is a delightful opportunity to create memories and overall enjoy a spectacular evening with top-tier fine dining and an enchanting musical atmosphere.

With two sessions currently scheduled in March 2021 and many more yet to come one can only hope this world class experience is here to stay.
