Kismet, the Largest Superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show is set to run from the 22nd-25th of September, and excitedly for yacht enthusiasts, they have recently announced their line-up. And the largest yacht on their line-up is Kismet.

Kismet was built in 2014 by Lürssen for Pakistani-American billionaire Shahid Khan. Khan is best known for being the owner of the National Football League (NFL) team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kismet was designed to impress; it needed to suit many needs, including family use, corporate entertaining and charter service. Khan brought Kismet when he and his businesses outgrew his previous 68-meter yacht.

The lavish interior design was done by Raymond Langton Design, and the sublime exterior was designed by Espen Øino International. Kismet’s most remarkable display of opulence is the owner’s suite that has its own private deck with a jacuzzi and office and private access to the helipads. That’s right; I said helipads. Kismet has two helipads onboard.

Kismet is a 95.2-meter superyacht with a top speed of 16.7-knots and a cruising speed of 14-knots. There is space for 16 guests in eight guests cabins, of which two cabins are extra luxurious staterooms. The ship has room for 28 crew members.

As you can imagine, a yacht with such comprehensive design requirements has everything a person could need whilst on a yacht. There is the traditional superyacht outfit of a gym, a 12-meter mosaic swimming pool with an integrated jacuzzi (a separate jacuzzi to the one on the owner’s private deck), sundeck, spa and sauna. Furthermore, there is a fully fitted out cinema room for movie lovers, or if you prefer nature, you can spend time in the winter garden. If you want to make the most of time away from civilization, there is a private observation platform with an outdoor bed perfect for stargazing, and for utmost privacy, the platform can be locked off to guests and crew.

Kismet has a multitude of entertaining areas; outdoor areas include an impressive retractable outdoor fireplace surrounded by curved sofas and an outdoor cinema. Indoor entertainment areas include a dance floor and an indoor bar area complete with an electric piano built using liquid metal; hanging above the piano is an art deco chandelier by Crystal Caviar.

When designing Kismet, much care was taken to ensure that the crew can easily move around the yacht without disturbing the guests. This includes the spa, which can be accessed by staff or therapists without moving through the guest areas.

The Monaco Yacht Show will also showcase many other impressive yachts, including 94.0-meter Viva by Feadship, 92.4-meter Tatoosh by Nobiskurg and the 85-meter Victorious by Burgess. As the largest Kismet is bound to draw the most attention and deservedly so because every aspect of the superyacht is built precisely to impress.
