The Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss was unveiled at the 2009 North American International Auto Show; a lightweight speedster variant of the SLR as strong in performance as it is arresting in appearance. With just 75 examples built, offered exclusively to existing SLR owners, the car is incredibly rare.
Nearly all the creature comforts of the car it is based on were sacrificed in the pursuit of performance, aesthetics and extreme driver (and passenger) enjoyment. This included the windscreen and roof, which not only adds up to the visual drama but ramps up the intensity of the driving experience ten-fold. The end result is an unbridled driving experience with a 0-100km/h in a time of just 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 354km/h courtesy of a 478kW 5.5 litre supercharged AMG V8.
The fantastic Stirling Moss edition left factory in December 2009 as a European-specification example delivered to Luxembourg. Specified in an exterior colour of Grey Crystal, yet a luxurious interior of black leather, enhanced with silver and red trims and accents. Like all cars of this type, it has benefitted from being regularly exercised end enjoyed during its life and is notable for its participation in the 2012 Mercedes Benz 1000 Miglia challenge. The car was most recently serviced by Mercedes Benz Brussels in February 2020.
Currently priced at $1.47 million, the Mercedes Stirling Moss can be all yours.
