Visit Five-Star Cape Lodge in WA’s Gorgeous Margaret River

Cape Lodge is a luxury five-star private country house hotel in the Margaret River wine region. Surrounded by stunning scenery, Cape Lodge is worth visiting for anyone looking for a luxury escape from the city.

Cape Lodge offers five different accommodation options. Staying in any of Cape Lodge’s rooms comes with a full country-style breakfast daily, daily afternoon tea and cake, and a vineyard estate tour and wine tasting. There are the Garden View rooms, which have a traditional country garden cottage style with raked ceilings. They look onto garden views, and every room has its own rear courtyard. Facilities include king-sized beds, ensuite and walk-in shower, tea and coffee making facilities, fully stocked mini-bar and room service. The minimum stay is two nights and costs $1390.

The Garden Deluxe rooms are spacious and airy, with an open plan lounge room. Each room has views of the expansive lawns heading down to the lake. Facilities are the same as the Garden View rooms. A stay of two nights costs $1890.

The Lodge King Deluxe rooms are located in the main lodge. Each room has gardens views and access to the drawing-room. Facility highlights include king-sized beds and a luxurious granite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and underfloor heating. It will cost $1890 for the minimum two-night stay.

The Lakeside rooms are beautifully surrounded by the natural landscape, with plenty of natural light filling the rooms. They are large and airy, with a view onto the nearby brook. Facilities include a king-sized bed, a luxurious bathroom with a spacious separate walk-in shower and bath. The cost for two nights is $2190.

The Residence is Cape Lodge’s luxurious private accommodation on its own three acres with expansive lawns and a private lake. It has a light and understated interior with granite bathrooms and benchtops, and polished timber floorboards. The Residence can host p to 8 guests and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with one bedroom and bathroom in a separate guest house. Features include an open plan lounge, dining and entertaining area with a fully equipped kitchen, open fireplace, reverse cycle air conditioning, surround sound flat-screen TV and an Apple TV. There is undercover lockup parking for three vehicles and a helicopter landing area. Staying at the Residence for two nights costs $8000.

One of the many appeals of staying at Cape Lodge is the lakeside restaurant and wine lodge. The restaurant is led by Executive Chef Tony Howell and looks to highlight the best of Margaret River’s produce. Wednesdays to Sundays, the chefs prepare a three-course set share menu, or on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you choose from a three or five-course chef’s tasting menu.

Cape Lodge is a must-visit for anyone who wants to see the beauty of Margaret River. It is one of the best luxury getaways in Western Australia outside of Perth.
