Perched between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Siari, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is set to redefine hospitality in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit. With an opening expected in Winter 2025 to early 2026, the retreat balances thoughtful design, cultural immersion, and discreet luxury in one of the region’s most unspoiled landscapes.
A SENSE OF ARRIVAL
Located within the 800-acre Nauka private community, Siari is 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, made even more accessible by the new toll highway connecting Riviera Nayarit. The property takes its name from the Huichol word for “green,” reflecting its deep connection to the surrounding mangroves, jungle, and volcanic cliffs.
Architecture by Bernardi Peschard Arquitectura emphasises minimal impact, with structures that blend seamlessly into their natural surroundings. Guests are greeted by a panorama where ocean, estuary, and mountain converge, creating a setting that feels both remote and refined.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Siari will feature 86 keys, including a five-bedroom presidential suite. For longer stays, 34 branded residences, each with four or five bedrooms, provide turnkey living with expansive terraces and panoramic views. Interiors are designed with indigenous textiles and locally sourced art, ensuring that every detail reflects the culture of the region.
The resort offers a wide spectrum of experiences. Guests can enjoy a private beachfront with an exclusive beach club, tee off at a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, or set sail from the marina and yacht club. A spa and wellness centre will deliver treatments inspired by local traditions, while a stargazing observatory and meditation glasshouse invite moments of quiet reflection. Nature lovers can hike across jungles and volcanic landscapes, while seasonal whale-watching and water excursions highlight the beauty of the Pacific. Culinary journeys, led by acclaimed Mexican chef David Castro Hussong, celebrate Huichol-inspired flavours and locally sourced produce, all served in settings that frame the ocean and jungle.

A RESPONSIBLE VISION
Sustainability defines the project from its earliest stages. Conservation experts and biologists advised on the development, ensuring low-density construction and the restoration of natural habitats. Guests will also be encouraged to engage with conservation initiatives, including estuary preservation and eco-awareness programs, reinforcing the idea that luxury here goes hand in hand with stewardship of the land.
ANTICIPATING THE OPENING
Although originally planned for 2024, the resort is now expected to debut in late 2025 or early 2026, with a Virtuoso preview already listing the property. Guillermo Varela has been appointed as General Manager to oversee the launch, bringing experience in luxury hospitality to guide Siari’s opening chapter.
WHY IT MATTERS
Siari is more than a new addition to the Ritz-Carlton’s Reserve portfolio. It represents a philosophy of travel that values cultural authenticity and environmental respect as much as comfort and elegance. For guests seeking stillness, space, and meaningful connection with both nature and community, Siari offers more than accommodation; it offers an invitation to presence.
